Blog Hiatus
I'm going to be taking a blog break for a couple of weeks. I've got a ton of stuff to think and pray through. It's all good but just need to time away from blogging.

3 1/2 Hour Voting, Space Invaders, and Money for Gas
I voted. I waited in line from 4:20 p.m. until 7:50 p.m. but I was finally able to cast my vote. No complaints about waiting because regardless of what party you vote for I sincerely believe we live in the greatest country on the face of the Earth. We demonstrate this every 4 years with a bloodless transition of power. Not many countries can accomplish this without riots and civil wars. No complaints from waiting. It was awesome to see everyone involved plus I got to invite several people to church.
One complaint I did have during the process, space invaders. Melissa and I came face to face with a real life space invader. This person was standing extremely close and violated more than 20-30 times our personal space bubble. What's worse is that this person had stinky breathe. It got so bad that Melissa offered me money for gas. That's right she said she would give me $5 if I would just rip one and move said person away just a bit. Rules of line etiquette permit a person stand no closer than 2 feet. Inside that is considered to be personal body area. Please keep this in mind of you're ever in a line such as Carowinds, After Thanksgiving Sale at Best Buy, water and battery give out line after a Hurricane, waiting for the Wee Way people mover at Disney, etc etc. Remember if you're within arm's reach then you're too close.

Amazing Day
Today was awesome. All the way around today was great. Today was the culmination of our 3 week challenge based on the Parable of the Talents. Our folks did an awesome job. So far we're almost at doubling up on what was given out to invest. It was pretty cool watching people drop in their "talents" during the welcome this morning.
The service got a little tense when I told everyone we were gonna let everyone race to the front playing red light/ green light and the first person there got to keep the cash. I was just kidding of course but it was funny watching everyone put their stuff to the side getting ready to race to the front. It would have been the biggest fight in church since some committee went with the green carpet instead of the blue.
Attendance was above average with one of our highest number of first time guests that we've ever had. Today was our highest attendance we have ever had in our kids area. It was slammed. More kids means more families and that is awesome to see. Our kids workers do an awesome job. If you can help out once a month, be sure to check in with Erin and she'd be happy to get you plugged in.
